An organic wall, wallpaper made from horsehair, champagne colours lighted through bronze glass. Dutch Designer Robert Kolenik shows all that he can be and more in the interior of Touch, a new grand café-restaurant-club in the Dutch city of Nijmegen. The result? Vegas beauty and with that it fits perfectly in Kolenik’s reputation as rising star.
  • In daytime Touch is a grand café with restaurant in which the guests can interact with the cook while he cooks. At night Touch transforms into a club with DJ’s. Entertainment and food is the concept of Touch like the Sunday Jazz Fingerfood Lounge. Touch is created as a franchise concept. Soon Touch will be opening up in London, Milan, Paris and Monaco.
Kolenik choose materials like the warm and exclusive palisade santos wood. De bar is glossy. Very special is the lower part of the bar. Recycled aluminium, which has been injected with gas to create a bubbled surface. Kolenik coated this with champagne colour, places bronze glass in front of it and placed led’s. Mystical.
The pillars in the venue are coated with chocolate coloured bricks and floating beer stands made of glossy palisade santos wood with led lightning. “Robert Kolenik: Thus creating a touch of light that amplifies the contrast of the bricks and the glossy beer stands”. A champagne coloured organic wall, which can be lighted in any colour, horsehair wallpaper, tiles of horn and a gigantic chandelier made of merano glass. The result oozes exclusive gentlemen’s club. A piece of nowadays allure that brings back memories of the glamour of the jet set of the fifties.
